One of my favorite photo blogs(THEMTHANGS) has been shut down basically for being too damn good... "IT BECAME MUCH BIGGER THAN I EVER EXPECTED, REACHING UP TO 20,000 PEOPLE A DAY ALL OVER THE WORLD. I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT I TRANSFER MORE DATA THAN CNN.COM, AND WOULD HAVE TO COUGH UP A COUPLE THOUSAND DOLLARS A YEAR TO PAY FOR THE DEDICATED HOSTING THAT WOULD BE REQUIRED TO KEEP THIS GOING." I know this is breaking copyright laws but barely anybody reads this and it's for academic purposes (right?), and i didn't scan them so whatever. Dopplereffekt interview in the Wire, first face to face interview I think, very mysterious duo based in germany. Gerald Donald of Drexciya, one of the greatest detroit techno/electro/U.R. groups, went on to create Dopplereffekt. Here is the Article. buy their music on itunes, it's worth it. and for more information just go to Drexciya Research Lab (the link on the side of this blog). The kid who writes it is ridiculous, writing academic essay length and content reviews on everything Drexciya, it's great actually.
